Management of koi pond fish fin an tail Bacterial Infections.
I strenuously recommend that you obtain the necessary injectable antibiotics and the syringes and needles, and commence injections immediately. Consider the following when undertaking injections. If you cannot obtain injectable antibiotics or do not want to inject your koi, Ulcer Aid Rx is the treatment for you. Ulcer Aid Rx is the second best treatment for deadly pond fish bacterial infections like tail and fin rot and koi body sores. With Ulcer Aid Rx you just spray, dip or bathe your sick pondfish, easy and fast!! If you can't catch your sick koi or pond fish to give them injections or treat them with Ulcer Aid Rx. I would recommend Medi-Koi medicated fish food. Now, I do not necessarily think the fish has a parasite, but the active ingredient in that food Trimethoprim Sulfa, Kanamycin and a Quinolone. That's the best combination for pond fish bacterial infections. I'd feed all the fish will eat twice a day for 14 days. Make sure they eat all the food, with none left on the bottom. No other food. Soaking the koi fish in a bath of antibiotics is a last resort, but will not save valuable pond fish lives. antibacterial bath or dip treatment, however, is different.
There is little doubt that the average hobbyist would be best served to combine Medi-Koi, medicated fish food and antibacterial bath treatment together to recover their fish. Not only are the treatments effective, they are also cost effective.
